This will involve a thorough oral examination and you will be asked to complete a medical history form. Your medical history is very important because certain medical conditions, and some medication, can affect your teeth and oral health, so understanding your situation allows us to give you the treatment you require.

A thorough oral examination will involve a complete assessment of your teeth and any existing restorations, and will include x-rays to check in between your teeth and under fillings. We will thoroughly examine your gum condition, assess the risk of oral cancer, taking into considerations smoking and alcohol consumption, and check your jaw and jaw muscles. We are also able to show you images of your mouth using an intra oral camera thus giving you a full picture of your treatment needs.

As part of the assessment, we will evaluate your overall smile and discuss how we can improve it by outlining any possible treatment options to achieve the smile you have always wanted, or just maintain it. Finally, we will formulate an appropriate treatment plan, discussing all treatment options available to you, including estimated costs.
